Altar Guild
This group is responsible for setting things up for weekly worship. This includes preparing the flower arrangements, making sure the candles are placed, changing out the paraments for each season and prepping the supplies for communion.
Christian Education
This group is responsible for the Children's Sunday Curriculum as well planning events for the Children's Ministry. They also assist with the Coffee Hour, Student Ministry, Confirmation Class and Adult Forum.
Evangelism
This group is responsible for how Oak Grove reaches out to the community. They have designed logos, oversee the Come & See Campaign, put our our newsletter and help with events like our Fall Festival. These folks also work closely with our Fellowship Committee.
Fellowship
This group is responsible for creating for our congregation to spend time together. They have planned and executed meals, pumpkin carving and gingerbread making event. These folks also work closely with our Evangelism Committee.
Finance
This group is responsible for maintaining the church's financial health through accountability and transparecy. They oversee things like insurance and investments.
Property
This group is responsible for the church building and surrounding property. They handle things like building repairs and improvements. This committee also oversees a subcommittee for Audio/Visual needs. They handle things like our display screens, video and live streaming.
Social Ministry
This group is responsible for outreach into the community. They work closely with our ministry partner Compassionate Ministry Foodbank collecting and delivering donations. They have also worked with 12 Loaves Soup Kitchen of New Brighton, Table of Grace food pantry in Beaver Falls, Cornerstone (TCBC) Men's Shelter in Vanport, and the Mental Health Association Food Box
WELCA (Women of the Evangelicial Lutheran Church in America)
This group meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of each month September-June. This group gathers the women of Oak Grove together for fellowship and ministry. For upcoming events click here. For more information about WELCA click on the link above.
Worship & Music
This group is responsible for our worship schedule, seasonal changes to worship and adding/maintaining the supplies needed for service. These folks work closely with the Altar Guild.
